MINISTER FOR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT TO CO-CHAIR THE 5th SINO-SINGAPORE TIANJIN ECO-CITY JOINT WORKING COMMITTEE MEETING IN TIANJIN 1 Mr Mah Bow Tan, Minister for National Development, and Ms Grace Fu, Senior Minister of State for National Development and Education, will visit Tianjin municipality in the People's Republic of China (PRC) from 4 to 6 May 2010. 2 On 5 May 2010, Minister Mah will co-chair the 5th meeting of the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city Joint Working Committee (JWC) with Vice-Minister Qiu Baoxing of the PRC Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.  At the meeting, the JWC will review the development of the Tianjin Eco-city since the previous JWC meeting in June 2009, and discuss key work areas for the year ahead. 3 Following the meeting, the co-chairs and members of the JWC will witness the signing of a number of commercial agreements and Memoranda of Understanding for projects in the Eco-city. 4 Minister Mah and SMS Fu will also be meeting with Tianjin leaders.  .Accompanying Minister Mah and SMS Fu are officials from the Ministry of National Development and other key Ministries and statutory boards involved in the Eco-city project.
