THE SINO-SINGAPORE TIANJIN ECO-CITY AWARENESS SEMINAR

The Ministry of National Development and IE Singapore jointly organised an Awareness Seminar on the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city on 25 Jul 2008, at the Pan Pacific Hotel. The purpose of the seminar was to enable local Singaporean companies to obtain more information on the Tianjin Eco-city project and the investment opportunities available.

The seminar attracted a full house of more than 120 representatives from local enterprises, who heard first-hand from Vice-Chairman Cui Guangzhi of the Eco-City Administrative Committee on the significance of the Eco-city, its Key Performance Indicators, Master Plan, status of progress and targeted industries. Mr Goh Chye Boon, CEO-designate of the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city Investment & Development Company. Ltd, which is the master developer of the Eco-city, outlined the company's vision, objectives and directions for the Eco-city. Vice-Chairman Cui and Mr Goh took questions from the floor to round off the seminar, which was followed by a networking session over tea.
